RHEV Data Center becomes non-operational when I remove a lun from Dell Compellent Array

Solution Unverified - Updated -

Issue

I removed RHEV Storage Domain from the Admin portal and then deleted the lun from the storage array. As a result, my hosts and the whole data center became non-operational.

Another scenario, I had a lun presented to a RHEV host, but I never used it in RHEV setup as Storage Domain. Now I deleted the lun from the storage array and my host became non-operational.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization (RHEV) 3.x
  • Dell Compellent Storage Array
  • RHEL 6 hosts / hypervisors
  • vdsm-4.16.37-1.el6ev.x86_64 and earlier
