Slow ssh logins with the errors "Unable to resolve SID <SID number> : will try next sid" in the logs

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Intermittent slow logins via ssh after setting "ldap_use_tokengroups = true"
  • Performance tuning of large AD environment is in place. i.e ignore_group_members = True
  • Issue started after enabling the above mentioned parameters.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6,7
  • sssd-1.13.3-22 and 1.13.0-40 (Basically the latest versions that support the use of tokengroups)
