User authentication over LDAP doesn't work after upgrade from RHEL 6.2 to RHEL 6.3

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • We've had repeated problems with the sssd daemon working consistently when configured to use our LDAP service as the domain. Often, a user's password will not work but this can usually be resolved by running the command 'sss_cache username'. However, on occasion, we've had to delete the /var/lib/sss/db/cache_LDAP.ldb file and restart sssd, then allow time for the file to be rebuilt, before login will work again. These issues began after upgrading to RHEL 6.3.

Environment
