Cinder volumes fail to attach to instance with Ceph 2 backend

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Attaching cinder volumes to any nova instance would fail. The volume will state an 'attaching' message but will not attach. An error message is only displayed if a "Device Name" is given, with the error "Unable to Connect".

  • Cinder logs show that the volumes appear to be disconnecting instantly
