Firmware Update on RHEV Hosts not possible

Issue

  • The firmware update on a RHEV/RHV hosts fails with a mount failure.
  • The firmware update fails with a mount failure on a RHEL system.
  • Updating firmware from a (virtual) USB device does fail on a RHEV host.
  • Firmware update on a DELL PowerEdge system being used as RHEV host fails similar to:

    [root@rhevh]# sh BIOS_PFWCY_LN_2.2.5.BIN
