Why do filesystem ACL's fail after patching?
Issue
- Filesystem ACL on the
/var/log/httpddirectory exists to allow a standard user account from another server to read and copy over the apache access logs for analysis. - Every httpd is updated, the ACL fails - It mus be removed and re-add for it to work again.
- This happens every time the server is patched.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
