RHEV: Virtual Machine appears corrupted after creating a snapshot

Issue

  • After creating snapshot, Virtual Machine immediately reported file-system errors.
  • Change of active layer (snapshot) immediately led to the Virtual Machine presenting I/O and file-system errors.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.6
    • Fibre Channel Storage
    • Preallocated RAW Images
    • Virtual Machines with PVs on top of whole disks (not on partitions)
  • Red Hat Enteprise Virtualization Hypervisor release 7.2 (20160711.0.el7ev)
    • kernel-3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64
    • libvirt-1.2.17-13.el7_2.5.x86_64
    • vdsm-4.17.33-1.el7ev.noarch
