JON agent toggles between unavailable and available due to No ManagedConnections available within configured blocking timeout

Issue

  • The JON Agent shows unavailable and then available after some time without restarting the agent.

  • The server logs have a number of entries like:

    INFO  [org.rhq.enterprise.server.discovery.DiscoveryServerServiceImpl] Error processing availability report from [tjbpdnu5.travp.net]: javax.ejb.EJBTransactionRolledbackException:org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Cannot open connection -> javax.persistence.PersistenceException:org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Cannot open connection -> org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException:Cannot open connection -> org.jboss.util.NestedSQLException:No ManagedConnections available within configured blocking timeout ( 30000 [ms] ); - nested throwable:
