Why am I unable to build virtual servers/desktops in my RHEV environment after adding my first hypervisor?

Issue

  • Customer is in the early stages of deploying a RHEV environment
  • After adding their first hypervisor, when selecting the "New Server" or "New Desktop" option under the "Virtual Machines" tab, user is not able to define settings, all options are grayed out.
  • Customer is NOT able to build virtual machines

  • Red Hat Enterprise Virtualization 3.0
  • Red Hat Enterprise Vritualization 2.2
