kernel hang after soft lockup during umount
Issue
- Soft lockup, system hang while umount
- When trying to umount corrupted, read-only ext3 filesystem, the system logs soft lockup and hangs
Environment
- Red Hat ENterprise Linux 5.4
- Originally reported in Red Hat Enterprise LInux 5.2; fixed in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.3; regression reported in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4
