Converting Xen images with virt-v2v results in unbootable images
Issue

virt-v2v displays the following warning during the conversion process, after importing the image, the virtual machine fails to boot correctly.
virt-v2v: WARNING: Unable to convert this guest operating system. Its storage will be transfered and a domain created for it, but it may not operate correctly without manual reconfiguration. The domain will present all storage devices as ide, all network interfaces as rtl8139 and the host as x86_64. -
After converting virtual machines with virt-v2v, some virtual machines failed to boot due to missing Kernel or initrd images.
Environment

virt-v2v host:
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3
- virt-v2v
- libguestfs versions up to and including 1.16.19-1.el6

virt-v2v target (guest):
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux
- Presence of files such as
/etc/release,/etc/freebsd-update.conf,/hurd/hello, that may trigger the false detection of another type of operating system
