Why am I getting the warning 'RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `host_name' does NOT match server name!?' while starting apache?
Issue
- Apache logs the following warning message when starting apache server.
[Tue Feb 09 15:06:23 2010] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `<host_name>' does NOT match server name!?
- Apache does not start without first unloading
mod_ssl. - Apache will not start and the following messages are written:
[Wed Jun 05 16:23:21 2013] [warn] RSA server certificate CommonName (CN) `localhost.localdomain' does NOT match server name!?
[Wed Jun 05 16:23:21 2013] [error] Unable to configure RSA server private key
[Wed Jun 05 16:23:21 2013] [error] SSL Library Error: 185073780 error:0B080074:x509 certificate routines:X509_check_private_key:key values mismatch`
