"There is no JVM available." error when trying to start JON server

Issue

  • I am receiving the following error when trying to start up the JON server:
/opt/app/jon-server-3.0.0.GA/bin>There is no JVM available.
Please set RHQ_SERVER_JAVA_HOME or RHQ_SERVER_JAVA_EXE_FILE_PATH appropriately.

Environment

  • JBoss Operations Network (JON) 3.0.0
