Oracle ASM clustered disks going offline
Issue
The OracleASM volumes are going offline,"df" hangs, as does any other command that tries to query disks.
/var/log/messages:
Oct 15 12:45:56 server kernel: ABCDEF-00029: Volume asm/test in disk group TEST was taken offline, all attempts to read or write to this volume will fail.
Oct 15 12:45:56 server kernel: ABCDE-0009: Volume /dev/asm/test is now offline.
The only fix appears to be a reboot.
EMC have investigated the SAN storage and have found no issues with using native multipath with SYmm, Clariion, VNX storage arrays.
There are no FC or SCSI errors apparent in system logs.
