Why does a KVM guest show continuous hard drive access of KVM host ?
Issue
- I am running RHEL6.3 as KVM host.
- I have a single KVM guest running.
- I notice that when my guest is running the PC hard drive is access almost continuously, like a heart beat pulse.
- Why is this? This activity will more than likely kill my hard drive?
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 as KVM host.
- Windows XP as guest.
