Resolution

• If  system is registered to Red Hat Network (RHN) then up2date & yum commands are used to update packages.

• On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4

  # up2date firefox
  

• On Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 & 6

  # yum update firefox
