ServletContainerInitializer included via jboss-deployment-structure.xml is invoked twice

Issue

  • If we provide a ServletContainerInitializer in a module included in our app via its jboss-deployment-structure.xml, the ServletContainerInitializer is invoked twice. If the ServletContainerInitializer is included directly in the application, it is only invoked once.

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.4.9 and earlier
