[RHEL7] multipath: "config error, overriding 'no_path_retry' value" error when removing a LUN

Issue

The following error message is printed when removing a LUN:

Aug  9 10:37:53 server01 multipathd: 360060e80101123456789012300000014: config error, overriding 'no_path_retry' value

And then, the underlying multipath device is not removed and is left lingering, without underlying devices:

[root@server01 ~]# multipath -ll
360060e80101123456789012300000014 dm-5
size=20G features='0' hwhandler='0' wp=rw
