Is there any tool that would help to get IO request time spent at storage end?
Issue
- Trying to find a tool that would give IO latency of a file system in units of time. Want to know 2 details
- What is the time spent within the server
- What is the time spent at the storage end
For the 1st, sar command gives await which is OK. But svctm "which is suppose to measure the latency outside the server" is not credible enough as per the man page statement.
So do we have any tool that would help get the details I need as per #2. I need it specific to FS.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5,6,7
