Login issue in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7

Log in to Your Red Hat Account

Issue

Upon entering the appropriate username and password, the system gets stuck (GUI).
Same issue is noticed using CLI mode, when user enters the credentials, the cursor keeps blinking as if waiting for an input. Upon hitting Ctrl+C the terminal gets ready to take further commands.
This is only noticed for non root users, root user can login fine to GUI and CLI.
