Why are files on GFS2 showing different content or files are missing on some nodes in single cluster when cluster nodes are KVM VMs?

Issue

  • Files on GFS2 filesystem on node1 are not visible on node2 but files written on node2 are seen on node1.
  • GFS2 metadata from same GFS2 filesystem captured on two cluster nodes are different.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux with Resilient storage Add-on running as KVM Virtual machine
