Cpu cores missing in the server when x2APIC is enabled in system
Issue
- Cpu cores in the system missing while only one cpu core is detected with below error traces.
"NO NUMA configuration found".
"SMP Motherboard not detected"
"SMP: Allowing 0 CPUs, 0 Hotplug CPUs"
"SMP Alternatives, Switching to UP code"
"weird, boot CPU(#0) not listed by BIOS"
"SMP Disabled"
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- DL580 Gen9
