Unable to start kdump service when booted into the realtime kernel (kernel-rt)

Issue

  • I'm getting the following error when attempting to start kdump:
# service kdump start

  • Red Hat Enterprise MRG (2.1 and 2.2)
  • kernel-rt (realtime kernel)
