Deploying an ESB package containing Jackson library fails in JBoss ESB

Issue

  • We have ESB and web applications deployed in SOA-P. Both the applications are packaged containing Jackson library version 1.9.5.
  • While the web application appears to be deployed successfully, the ESB application runs into the following exception at runtime:
Caused by: java.lang.VerifyError: (class: org/codehaus/jackson/map/ObjectMapper, method: writeValueAsBytes signature: (Ljava/lang/Object;)[B) Incompatible argument to function
