binaries running on glibc-2.5.65.el5 and glibc-2.12-1.25.el6 are crashing or hanging with memory allocation errors
Issue
- When compiling with glibc in RHEL5 (
glibc-2.5-65.el5) and RHEL6 (glibc-2.12-1.25.el6), we are detecting similar memory errors that are causing processes compiled against these versions of glibc to crash or hang.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 5.0 - 5.6
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.0 - 6.1
