rhncfg-client diff always posts the messages "Differences exist in a file that is not readable by all. Re-deployment of configuration file is recommended

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • After applying the errata RHSA-2012-1369, rhncfg-client diff always posts the message "Differences exist in a file that is not readable by all. Re-deployment of configuration file is recommended".

  • After applying new rhncfg-* RHBA-2012-1552,rhncfg-client diff from client machine works as expected but if the diff is scheduled/triggered from the GUI (e.g. compare-configs-default schedule or execute rhn_check manually) the diff output is missing. /var/log/rhncfg-actions (as well as the GUI diff as described above) says "Differences exist in a file that is not readable by all. Re-deployment of configuration file is recommended."
