VLAN tagged packets leak to untagged slaves
Issue
- VLAN tagged packets leak to untagged slaves
- vlan packets appear on the main network interface in RHEL 6.7 and 7.2
- Ethernet traffic to a tagged interface (eg: eth2.800) can be received on the underlying untagged interface (eg: eth2).
- This occurs on RHEL 6.7 and 7.2, but didn't occur on RHEL 6.6 with the old VLAN model.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.7 and later (
kernel-2.6.32-573.el6series and later) - Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.0 and later (
kernel-3.10.0-123.el7series and later) - 802.1Q VLAN interfaces
- Raw sockets (i.e.
socket(PF_PACKET, SOCK_RAW))
