Why there is log like "lost input channel from localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] to MTA after noop"?

Issue

  • From /var/log/mailog, there are logs as follows:
Oct 17 20:14:28 host1 sendmail[17670]: q9HBEDYf017670: lost input channel from localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1] to MTA after noop
Oct 17 20:14:28 host1 sendmail[17670]: q9HBEDYf017670: from=<xxxx@aaa.com>, size=0, class=0, nrcpts=0, proto=ESMTP, daemon=MTA, relay=localhost.localdomain [127.0.0.1]
  • What is the reason?
