Issue

  • ftp client in RHEL6.2 is unable to put/get a file with 255 characters.

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6

    • /usr/bin/ftp from the ftp package prior to ftp-0.17-52.el6
    • /usr/kerberos/bin/ftp from the krb5-appl-clients package prior to krb5-appl-clients-1.0.1-5.el6

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

    • /usr/bin/ftp from the ftp package
    • /usr/kerberos/bin/ftp from the krb5-workstation package prior to krb5-workstation-1.6.1-62.el5
