getting error "File-based locking initialization failed"
Issue
Server won't boot.
Server has one bad disk.
mount -a fails: /var/log and /var/audit cannot mount.
LVM commands fail with error: "File-based locking initialization failed".

Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 6.7
