Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • Our EAP 6 RPM install was working fine. But after installing the JWS 3 RPM as well, EAP 6 fails to start due to the following error:
Failed to add resource root 'mod_cluster-container-jbossweb.jar' at path 'mod_cluster-container-jbossweb.jar' (position: END_TAG seen ... <resource-root path="mod_cluster-container-jbossweb.jar"/>... @35:67) caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /usr/share/jbossas/modules/system/layers/base/org/jboss/as/modcluster/main/mod_cluster-container-jbossweb.jar (No such file or directory)

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP) 6.x
  • JBoss Enterprise Web Server (JWS) 3.x
  • mod_cluster
