Why Firefox throws an error when trying to verify installed Java?

Issue

  • The RHEL7.0 origin IcedTea plugin (1.4) the browser firefox seems to freeze
  • top command show a java process at nearly 100%
  • With RHEL7.0 updated IcedTea plugin (1.6) the browser show the IcedTea logo and then a big red ERROR.
  • Memory utilization of java process is too high.
