Is it safe to use "dev:dynamic-import" and similar techniques in a production environment?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

Many Fuse users find that they need to use 3rd-party libraries that are not OSGi-compliant. Installing these libraries using the "wrap:" protocol can overcome the problem that no Java packages are exported by such a library; using dev:dynamic-import and similar approaches can overcome the problem that no packages are imported.

These techniques are clearly workarounds, to the problem of lack of OSGi metadata in the library JAR. The question therefore arises whether they are safe to use in production.
