Why does the JBoss session ID have a different format?

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The session ID values appear to be a very different format under the new version of JBoss.

  • The session IDs used to be a fairly consistent length, all upper case and without special characters. ID Examples for old JBoss: "292B08CCFDCD16FF9EDF37699CDC0DE6", "616A0C91CAEA3F49B3FA8D99CE9CB2FF" and "BA9EC5D2452D8F78CCAF9AA420AFC8AD".

  • Now the session IDs under the new JBoss look like; "sqmrTOY+tFTEll8Jl5U5lQ**", "TlCfT9TYVZrTNzEQP-Cocw**" and "MiZ7QdxMvYu4kRKndMnhog**".

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform (EAP)
