Issue

  • CXF does not handle non-ASCII but valid ISO 8859-1 characters in Basic authentication username/passwords
  • CXF basic authentication supplier does not handle username or passwords with umlauts, grave, tilde or other accents

Environment

  • JBoss Enterprise Application Platform
  • CXF web service client using BASIC or DIGEST authentication mechanism
