Chrome is causing RHEL 6 to lock up and produce a core when playing audio

Issue

• Running the latest few versions of chrome (20, 21 and 22.0.1229.92.159988-78) on RHEL Desktop 6.3 and listening to audio from chrome seems to cause the system to halt. While there is no specific reproducer, the problem seems to occur after 30 to 60 minutes at which point the system hard locks and creates a core.
