Issue

  • On an IBM iDataplex kdump is failing with the following error:

Fusion MPT SAS Host driver 3.04.20
mptsas 0000:04:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 30 (level, low) -> IRQ 30
mptbase: ioc0: Initiating bringup
ioc0: LSISAS1064E B3: Capabilities={Initiator}
mptbase: ioc0: ERROR – Unable to allocate interrupt 30!
mptbase: ioc0: ERROR – didn’t initialise properly! (-16)
mptsas: probe of 0000:04:00.0 failed with error -16
  • The kdump code then hangs waiting for the disk devices to appear.
Waiting for required block device discovery
