Email Task does not allow full html content in Body attribute in BPM Suite 6
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss BPM Suite (BPMS) 6.1.x, 6.2.x
Issue
-
Email Task does not allow full html content in Body attribute;
-
It seems like the body content for an Email Task is broken after saving a process in BPM Suite 6.1.5. Looking at the process source, the html for body field is there, but after saving the process it is broken;
-
When adding a string html in the body field and re-enter the job the html appears incomplete.
Resolution
Using 6.2.2 you can close the process, reopen it and the html code is still there. However you will not be able to go to Assignments and change it from there, the body will be empty (even it being in the source code).
Wherever you will be using the version 6.1 or 6.2 you can do that: Email Task accepts variables as body. So you can use a ScriptTask or even into the On Entry Action of your Email Task to create a String containing the email body and concatenate with other variables that you want and attribute it to a new variable, which you can map to your Email Task body attribute.
Root Cause
This issue has been reported in BZ-1329763 and should be fixed in 6.3 Update 1.
