JBoss ON's Sign into the Red Hat Customer Portal window freezes in IE after clicking Sign-in button
Environment
- Red Hat JBoss Operations Network (ON) 3.3
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.19019, 9.0.8112.16421, 11.0.9600.17843, 11.0.9600.18230
- Attempting to sign-in and use Red Hat Access from the JBoss ON user-interface (UI)
Issue
- Clicking Sign in button causes Sign into the Red Hat Customer Portal window to freeze
- Unable to sign-in to Red Hat Customer Portal due to page or redirect error
Resolution
This is a known issue and cannot be resolved. This issue was captured as a known issue in the JBoss ON 3.3 release notes as BZ#1133590 - Unable to login in to 'Red Hat Access' in IE.
Root Cause
The Red Hat Access plug-in used by JBoss ON is not compatible with Internet Explorer (IE) due to a cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) issue. Please see Red Hat Bugzilla 1133590 - Unable to login in to 'Red Hat Access' in IE for more details.
