Running "tmpwatch -s" may not work with filenames that begin with "-" in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5

Solution Verified - Updated -

Issue

  • The tmpwatch command doesn't terminate the argument list to fuser, and therefore may not handle files starting with '-' correctly.
  • Running tmpwatch on a directory containing filenames that begin with "-" may generate errors.

Environment

Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5.4 / tmpwatch-2.9.7-1.1.el5.2
