RHEL6.3: "Input/output error" writing files with NFSv4 and NFS4ERR_BADXDR seen in tcpdump
Issue
- We get an error when writing to files on NFSv4 on EMC SAN. The problem occurs on kernel version
2.6.32-279.el6.x86_64and higher. Kernel2.6.32-220.23.1.el6.x86_64and below does not have the problem.
[username@hostname ~]$ cd /mnt
[username@hostname mnt]$ echo "xx" > testfile
-bash: testfile: Input/output error
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
- kernel 2.6.32-279.el6 and above
- NFSv4 mounted filesystem
- NFS export shared from EMC SAN
