Controlling how much information CUPS logs in RHEL
Issue
- Cupsd is logging too much information.
- How do I prevent CUPS from verbose logging to
/var/log/cups/access_logand/var/log/cups/error_log? -
How to capture only error log in CUPS which is starting with "E"; for example:
E [5/Nov/2012:08:07 -0500] Unable to accept client connection - Too many open files. -
We have set
AccessLogLevelin/etc/cups/cupsd.conftoconfig, however we are still getting flooded with "POST / HTTP/1.1" 200 416 CUPS-Get-Printers successful-ok" messages. Why doesn't theAccessLogLevelapply whenlptstatis run to stop the CUPSaccess_logfrom growing so large.
Environment
