[Satellite6] goferd stops connecting to Satellite/Capsule after few hours

Issue

after restarting goferd / katello-agent on a Content Host (registered to either Satellite or an external Capsule), the process connects to Satellite/Capsule properly
after approx. 2 hours, it starts failing to (re)connect there, logging "SSL failure."
restarting it, everything goes well again - but only for next few hours..
