System Freezing when Installing RHEL 6.2 on VMware Vsphere ESX 4

Issue

The machine freezes during the creation of the ext4 partitions and doesnt move from this point.

System has 2 CPUs, 16GB RAM and 300GB HDD.
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.2
VMware Vsphere ESX 4
