System hangs during VMWare snapshot under heavy cpu load

Issue

• Heavy CPU activity will cause a A VMWare Snapshot to deadlock and the guest will hang indefinitely
• Unlike the snapshot issue linked below this does not require any IO and occurs on 5.5 update 3

• The snapshot will fail with the error below:

An error occurred while saving the snapshot: msg.
snapshot.error-QUIESCINGERROR.
