Why does dmidecode not working in Xen-Paravirtualized quests?
Issue
- Why does
dmidecodenot working in Xen-Paravirtualized guests.
[root@rhel5~]# dmidecode
# dmidecode 2.9
/dev/mem: mmap: Bad address
- It doesn't work on para-virtualized guest on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 as well.
[root@rhel6 ~]# dmidecode
# dmidecode 2.12
# No SMBIOS nor DMI entry point found, sorry.
Environment
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6
