Man pages not correctly displaying the bold text
Issue
- Manual pages are not correctly displayed in the terminal while they looks like to be correctly formatted.
- If fired command man ls then refer below :
LS(1) User Commands LS(1)
ls - list directory contents
[OPTION]... [FILE]...
List information about the FILEs (the current directory by default).
Sort entries alphabetically if none of nor is specified.
- But when man ls|more then correct output is seen like the following :
LS(1) User Commands LS(1)
NAME
ls - list directory contents
SYNOPSIS
ls [OPTION]... [FILE]...
DESCRIPTION
List information about the FILEs (the current directory by default).
Sort entries alphabetically if none of -cftuvSUX nor --sort is specified.
- The question is, how should I reconfigure my system to see the correct output by using just
man lscommand?
