Kernel Panic occured with message "Couldn't find valid RAM disk image" while Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 on Dell Precision T7600 machine

Issue

  • During Installation of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.3 on Dell Precision T7600 machine, getting kernel panic.
RAMDISK: Couldn't find valid RAM disk image starting at 0.
Isofs_fill_super: bread failed,  dev=md1.....
List of all partitions:
 No filesystem could mount root, tried:  iso9660
Kernel panic - not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 
unknown-block(1,0)
  • After upgrading the BIOS, the new error appeared as follows.
kernel panic - not syncing  - fatal exception
