How to extract the S2I scripts out of a Red Hat OpenShift Image

Issue

When creating a project, we want to create the ".sti/bin/assemble" script, that overwrite's the original script from the image. However, would like to base our script off that of the "original" image.
- How can I get the content of the original script, be pulled from the image?
- Can the our custom script be merged with the original script?
