Where is the "mm" macro of groff Package available?

Issue

  • In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, the groff package is missing some of the macros which worked in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6.
  • On Checking the man pages which mentions about mm macro & verified the notes under /usr/share/doc/groff-base-1.22.2/NEWS
  • Why these macros are not available in groff-base-1.22.2-8.el7.x86_64which is default in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7/7.2 DVD?
  • In Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, the execution is as follows :
[root@vm2 ~]# cat testfile | groff -p -- m
pic:fatal error: can't open `m': No such file or directory
[root@vm2 ~]# cat testfile | groff -p -mm
troff: fatal error: can't find macro file m

Environment

  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7.2
  • groff-base-1.22.2-8.el7.x86_64
